NEWS POST

  1. On the left hand side of the dashboard select “Posts”
  2. At the top of the “Posts” page, click the small “Add New” button
  3. Create a title, no more than six words, containing key words that people are likely to search for. This will automatically generate the permalink for this post.
  4. On the right side of the screen are several boxes stacked on top of each other. Scroll down until you get to an image in the “Featured Images” box. Click on the image to bring up the Media Library and select the same image that you used from above. Hit “Select Featured Image”
  5. Two boxes above the “Select Featured Image” box is a box titled “Categories.” Select the appropriate category (News, newsletter)
  6. Edit your content
  7. To publish click on the blue “Publish” button on the right side box labeled “Publish” If you edit anything after publishing, this button will now say “Update.”
  8. Use the “Update” button after you make edits to prevent losing your changes.
  9. At the very top of the window in a black bar click on “View Page” to make sure everything looks right.

TESTIMONIALS

  1. On the left hand side of the dashboard select “Testimonials”
  2. At the top of the “Testimonials” page, click the small “Add New” button
  3. In the title section include the person’s name and where they are from.
  4. Copy this information in the content area below in the box titled, “Author”
  5. Enter the testimonial below that titled “Text”
  6. On the right side of the screen are several boxes stacked on top of each other. Scroll down to the box titled “Categories.” Select the appropriate category (film1, film2, retreat, home).  This will direct the testimonial to the appropriate page.
  7. To publish click on the blue “Publish” button on the right side box labeled “Publish” If you edit anything after publishing, this button will now say “Update.”
  8. Use the “Update” button after you make edits to prevent losing your changes.

TIPS FOR EDITING PAGES

  1. On the left hand side of the dashboard select “Pages”
  2. Select the page you want to edit. There is a search bar at the top of the page on the right side.
  3. Once you find the page you’re looking for, hover over the title and some options will pop up. Select “Edit page” button.
  4. To edit the Permalink, look just below the title. Click on the grey “Edit” button and update the slug to match your title with dashes (-) between each word
  5. To edit the elements, hover over the top box in the Page Builder.  A small green box will appear. Select the pencil to edit the element.
  6. Use the  “Update” button often so that you don’t lose your saved work.
  7. At the very top of the window in a black bar click on “View Page” to make sure everything looks right.
