This privacy & terms of use policy explains how the Memory Bridge web site collects and uses information about visitors to these web pages. We recognize the value of personal privacy and wish to protect your information. These web pages are maintained and hosted by Memory Bridge: Foundation for Alzheimer’s and Cultural Memory, a 501c3 non-profit registered with the state of Illinois.

Gathering Information

We collect personally identifying information on these pages such as your name, e-mail address, and location, but only if you choose to provide it. We ask you to provide this information when you contribute to the Memory Bridge Forum, make a comment about There Is a Bridge, or send a web site element to a friend via e-mail (video clip, news story, resource, Forum story, etc).

Using Information

We limit the use of personally identifying information to the following activities: (a) responding to your e-mails; (b) displaying your name and e-mail address to persons you choose to e-mail a web site item to; and (3) other purposes specified at the time the information is gathered.

We also may disclose personal information if required to do so by law, or if we believe that such action is necessary to (a) comply with the law or with legal process, (b) protect against misuse or unauthorized use of the web site, or (c) protect the personal safety or property of web site users, the public or Memory Bridge: Foundation for Alzheimer’s and Cultural Memory and its employees.
