Join Michael each week as he explicates concepts and practices at the heart of communicating empathetically with people with cognitive impairments. Each presentation will on one of the four following themes, inspired by the seminal work of a significant thinker, in and beyond the field of dementia:

July 20: Meaning and Memory (Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia: What Everyone Needs to Know, Steven R. Sabat)
July 27: Meaning and Connection (The Validation Breakthrough, Naomi Feil)
August 3: Meaning and Identity (I and Thou, Martin Buber)

Dementia and the Meaning of Life, A special series for summer 2022
 
Join Michael Verde for a four-part series exploring Dementia and the Meaning of Life. Each Wednesday, Michael will illuminate the foundational concepts of empathetic communication as they relate to the care of people with dementia. You are invited to attend the live webinar, but will have access to the recordings after each session, made available through September 15.

The webinars will each be 75 minutes with four webinars in total. If you’d like to attend but can’t make it the day of, register and we'll send you a link to the recorded webinar. It will be available for 7 days following the live webinar, and will be accessible to everyone who registers in advance.
