July 21, 2020 - 3:00 p.m. EST
At the core of person-centered care is the concept of I and Thou as envisioned by the Jewish Philosopher Martin Buber. In this webinar you will learn the difference between care understood as an action verb and care realized as a being verb and the three skills of presence that invite persons with dementia into I and Thou relationships.
The webinar will consist of a 75-minute presentation by Michael Verde, followed by a 15-minute Q&A session. If you’d like to attend but can’t make it on the 21st, register and we’ll send you a link to the recorded webinar. It will be available for 3 days following the live webinar, and will be accessible to everyone who registers in advance.
We are suggesting a donation of $5 for the webinar, but please feel free to adjust the amount to whatever you like. The donation is entirely optional, so if you don’t wish to donate, just enter 0 in the space below and come enjoy the webinar! All are welcome.
