18 Jun John Kotre’s “White Gloves” to be Included in Memory Bridge Curriculum
The Memory Bridge staff is currently working with Mr. Kotre to revise the program’s curriculum; the concept of autobiographical memory will be introduced to students beginning in the fall. The goal is to encourage students to incorporate lessons learned from individuals with Alzheimer’s as they shape their own memories and identities.
In addition, White Gloves has been selected for the 2009-10 Honors Common Reading Program at the University of Arizona. Close to 1000 incoming freshmen will participate in discussions and activities related to the formation of memory after reading Kotre’s book.
