Frozen River Film Festival: Love Is Listening Screening
February 7, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
$12
Michael Verde’s 2019 documentary, Love Is Listening: Dementia Without Loneliness will be screening at the Frozen River Film Festival in Winona, MN. Acclaimed by Lisa Genova as “a gift to humanity” and by Stephen Fry as “fascinating, compelling, and important,” the film explores what it means to truly listen. While 70% of us know someone with dementia, many of us struggle to connect with loved ones who can no longer communicate in the ways we are used to. Love Is Listening presents a vision for connections based in love that transcend language.
Frozen River Film Festival is celebrating its 15th season this year by presenting over 80 documentary films, running from February 5th through February 9th in various locations throughout the city. The Festival selects movies that engage, educate, and activate viewers to become involved in the world, while showcasing the art of documentary film. More information can be found on the Festival’s webpage, and tickets can be purchased at https://www.frff.org/tickets/.
