Discussing Dementia with Michael Verde

In this free event, Michael Verde will lead a discussion on reframing the way we and our society view and treat people with dementia. He’ll share his view that the principle source of pain for people with dementia is loneliness–and that while the disease of dementia is incurable, this dis-ease and feeling of disconnection isn’t a necessary part of the diagnosis. By explaining his work and research, he’ll share new approaches that anyone can take to maintain or establish real and meaningful relationships with people who suffer from dementia.

Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss their concerns about friends and family members who have dementia.
